Alderman Lu Coker Inducted Into Municipal Hall of Fame

BRANDON, Miss. (August 5, 2025) — The City of Brandon announced that Alderman Lu Coker was inducted into the Mississippi Municipal League (MML) Hall of Fame recently at the MML 94th Annual Conference held in Biloxi.

The MML Hall of Fame was established to recognize municipal elected officials who have served in office for 20 years or more. Alderman Lu Coker has served Brandon as an elected official for 32 years.

The mission of the Mississippi Municipal League is helping cities and towns excel. MML is a non-partisan association established in 1931, representing 290 city, town and village governments in Mississippi. MML is also affiliated with the National League of Cities, a lobbying, legislative and legal arm representing municipalities before the U.S. Congress.
