Groundbreaking Held for Sullivan’s Marketplace in Brandon

BRANDON, Miss. (Feb. 18, 2025) — City and county officials gathered on Orleans Way in Brandon on Tuesday to celebrate the groundbreaking of Sullivan’s Marketplace, a highly anticipated 35,000-square-foot grocery store that will be joined by 25,000 square feet of retail space.
Among those in attendance were Mayor Butch Lee, county Supervisors Scott Berry and Sid Scarbrough, Rankin First Assistant Director Regina Todd, and Brandon Aldermen Cris Vinson, Sharon Womack, Lu Coker, Dwight Middleton, and Harry Williams. Members of the Sullivan family, including Shawn, Steve, and Parker Sullivan, were also present to mark the occasion.
The new development is expected to bring approximately 100 jobs to the community, offering fresh grocery options and retail opportunities for residents. Construction is estimated to take 15 months, with the marketplace set to become a key addition to Brandon’s growing commercial landscape.
